Reform Support Unit of Education and Literacy Department: Government of Sindh commissioned a large scale study to assess the achievement of students completing their class V and VIII in all government schools of the Sindh province. For this purpose, a test was devised entitled as Standarized Achievement Test(SAT) to assess students' achievement in three subjects including Language (Sindhi/Urdu/English), Math and Science.
The underlying aim of the SAT Project is to assess the performance of the students' learning in aforementioned subjects. Results are aimed to identify gaps in student achievement and to inform reforms targeting improvement in education delivery at district and provincial level. On the basis of these results, various policy and program reforms are recommended to improve the quality of educational delivery, in order to improve the learning outcomes of students, studying in the public sector schools of the province.
SAT orientation Regional Workshop was held in Sukkur IBA on February 03, 2016 for education Managers of Sukkur & Larkana Regions. The workshop aimed to spread awareness about SAT exams in both Regions, understand the administration process and encourage students of class V and VIII to appear in exam as per the field plan.
More over, results of SAT Phase-III (2014-15) were also presented in detail. The workshop came to conclusion by sharing the field plans of SAT Phase-IV (2015-16) followed by Lunch.
